House rules
We will do everything we can to make your stay at Bed & Breakfast Sorriso dei Maestri, hereinafter referred to as "SdM", as pleasant as possible. In order to guarantee this for all guests, we have set some rules:
Reservation
When making a reservation, you must correctly state the number of people staying at SdM. You can also indicate any dietary requirements when making a reservation. We take vegetarian preferences, intolerances and allergies into account. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to take a vegan lifestyle into account in terms of food and drinks.
Rooms, occupancy and age
We have 3 rooms which all are suitable for 2 adults. It is not permitted to stay overnight with more than 2 people in a room. It is possible to place an extra bed in one of the rooms, (room Botticelli) for one child from 12 years of age for a fee of 30 euros per night. This is also the minimum age to stay with us. In all rooms a safe is available to safely store your valuables.
Visitors
You may receive a maximum of 2 guests during the day until 7:00 PM. It is appreciated if you inform the hostess about your visit. If you wish to receive more guests, we ask you to discuss this with the hostess. The minimum age of 12 years also applies to visitors. Visitors may use the swimming pool and the garden, taking into account the applicable rules. It is not permitted to use the outdoor kitchen with guests if other guests are staying there.
Check-in
You can arrive between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM. As soon as your approximate arrival time is known, please let us know. A different (later) time can be agreed upon in consultation with the hostess. Upon arrival, you can report to the
gate, which we will open for you immediately.
Check-out
You can check out between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Of course, you can leave earlier. The hostess will be happy to take this into account in connection with breakfast.
Keys
When you check in, you will receive a key to your room, the front door and a remote control for the gate. When you go out, make sure you lock your room. We ask for a deposit of 25 euros for the set.
Private areas
We live in a part of the house ourselves. This is located on the ground floor. The rooms are indicated with 'Privato'. We also value privacy, so we respect it if you do not enter these rooms.
Air conditioning and heating
All rooms have air conditioning and heating. In warm weather, we advise you to close the shutters as much as possible when leaving, if available. When using the air conditioning and heating, we ask you to close the windows. If you leave the room for a longer period of time, we ask you to turn off the heating or, if using the air conditioning, to leave it on the lowest setting.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in the room price. If you do not wish to use it, it will not be deducted from the price. The table is set between 8:30 and 11:00 in the guest kitchen or outside in good weather. The lifestyle or dietary requirements that you have made known when you made your reservation have been taken into account.
Food and drinks
A few times a week, we will cook for you for a fee. You will be informed about this during your stay. The outdoor grill may be used in consultation. Everything must be left clean after use and the dishes may be placed in the designated container.
An aperitif can be ordered at the end of the afternoon. There is a refrigerator for shared use. This is filled with water, soft drinks, wine and beer. You may use this for a fee. The guest kitchen is intended for breakfast and dinner. It is not permitted to prepare food here or store it in the refrigerator. The refrigerator in the room can be used for this. Barbecues are not permitted on open fire anywhere on the premises. You can drink the water in Italy from the tap, but it is not very tasty. There is drinking water in the refrigerator in your room. You can refill this yourself afterwards. Every village has a water tap. You will be informed about this during your visit.
Bed linen and towels
Your room will be visited and replenished on a daily basis. If the towels need to be replaced, they can be left in the basket in the bathroom. For longer stays, the towels and bed linen will be replaced after 3 nights. More frequent changes of bed linen are possible at your request and cost 5 euros per change.
Hygiene
It is not permitted to use the beds and pillows without sheets and pillowcases. If irremovable stains occur in the mattresses, duvets, pillows or towels during use, we will be forced to charge costs for cleaning or replacing materials.
Prices
The prices include heating, use of coffee, tea and Wi-Fi in the room. If the Wi-Fi does not function properly during your stay, everything will be done to fix this as soon as possible. There is no right to a refund of the room price.
Swimming pool
The swimming pool is free to use from 07:30 to 20:00 at your own risk. Swimwear is required. Diving is prohibited due to the depth of the pool, 150 cm. We request that you shower first. When using sun products, showering is mandatory. Eating and drinking is permitted at the pool with the use of special unbreakable crockery and glassware. Always take other guests into account, both in the pool and around it.
Parking and charging
You can park your car on the property during your stay. Parking is at your own risk. We are not liable for theft or any form of damage. It is not permitted to charge an electric car (with a special plug). For this there is the possibility at the bottom of the road in the parking lot, 450 meters walk.
Noise
We ask guests to take each other, the neighbors and residents into account. Noise pollution, playing loud music is not allowed inside and outside at all times. Between 21:30 and 07:30 we ask you to respect the peace, both inside and outside.
Waste
Separate waste is collected. Waste must be deposited in the designated container. Glass must also be thrown in the designated bin.
Pets
We do not accept pets. An exception are guide and assistance dogs. They are of course welcome.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited both inside and outside. Smoking is also not allowed in the garden and around the swimming pool, in the interest of other guests. A place has been set up behind the parking lot with a container for extinguishing cigarettes.
Alcohol and drugs
Alcohol abuse is not tolerated. Enjoy, but drink in moderation. Possession, use or dealing in drugs is strictly prohibited. The police will be notified.
Internet
You have access to the WiFi guest network. The user refrains from visiting sites that are unlawful or inconsistent with the reputation of the accommodation. In the event of detection or suspicion of nuisance or internet abuse, we have the right to block access to the internet without further notice. Refunds will not be applied.

Damage
SdM is in no way liable for any form of damage, loss or theft that occurs during your stay. If damage is caused to the accommodation or the furnishings of the common areas or the garden during your stay, you must inform us of this.
Nuisance
In the event of nuisance in any way, SdM is entitled to deny further access to the accommodation.
